Section 2. Information We Collect

Our primary goal in collecting information is to provide and improve our Services, to administer your use of the Services (including your Account, if you are an Account holder), and to enable you to enjoy and easily navigate our Services.  The types of Personal Information we may collect (directly from you or from Third-Party sources) and our privacy practices depend on the nature of the relationship you have with Eye Need Them and the requirements of applicable law.  Some of the ways that Eye Need Them may collect Personal Information include:

• You may provide Personal Information directly to Eye Need Them through interacting with the Services, making online purchases, participating in surveys, participating in events such as sweepstakes, and requesting Services or information.

2.1 Personal Information. When you join our mailing list, create an account, or make a purchase through our site, your personal information is collected and stored. Basic personal information we collect includes, but is not limited to, your full name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, and email address.

2.2 Shopify.  Our store is hosted on Shopify, Inc.  They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.  Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and the general Shopify application.  They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

2.3 Payments.  If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your Eye Need Them purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data.  It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).  Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.  After the transaction is complete, your transaction data is deleted.  All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standard Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.  PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.  For more insight, you may also want to read Shopify’s Terms of Service or its Privacy Statement.

2.4 Non-Identifying Information.  Non-identifying information are solo portions of your personal information that cannot be linked to you when seen alone, for example, your zip code or state. Eye Need Them uses non-identifying information for statistical measurements to ultimately improve your experience on our site. We may combine your non-identifying information with your personal information to provide services to you, such as delivering product or addressing your inquiries.

2.5 Log Data.  When you visit Eye Need Them.com, our servers will automatically record and store information that your browser sends to every website you visit. This information is called log data. Log data can include, but is not limited to, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, web address you were visiting before coming to Diffeyewear.com, search information, the Eye Need Them.com pages you visited, and duration of time spent on each page. We collect this information to analyze and optimize our site to provide the utmost functionality to you.

2.6 Cookies.  When visiting our site, Eye Need Them will place a “cookie” on your browsing system. A “cookie” is a piece of data that is sent to your browsing system for an optimized experience on our site. Persistent and session cookies on your browser will allow us to remember your login information and cart items when you return to our site. Parts of these cookies will be deleted when you close your browser, or log out of your account on Eye Need Them.com. _session_id, unique token, sessional, Allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc.)

_shopify_visit, no data held, Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit.  Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits.

_shopify_uniq, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day.  Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.

Cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks.  Stores information about the contents of your cart.

_secure_session_id, unique token, sessional

storefront_disgest, unique token, indefinite if the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.

PREF, persistent for a very short period, set by Google and tracks who visits the store and from where.

2.7 E-Mails.  Eye Need Them collects your email address to provide necessary transaction confirmation notifications. You may also opt-in to be a part of our Eye Need Them mailing list. In doing so, we will use your email address to provide promotional or marketing material regarding the launch of new products, events, service, and other items of interest.

2.8 Other Identifying Information.  IP address, social media user names, passwords and other security information for authentication and access.

2.9. Internet or other Electronic Activity.  Geolocation, your browsing and click history, including information about how you navigate within our services and which elements of our services you use the most.

2.10.  Demographic Information.  Gender, age, employment information and salary information.

2.11. Commercial Information.  Products purchased or viewed on our website.

RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

 

At Eye Need Them, we strive to ensure your satisfaction with every purchase. If, for any reason, you are unsatisfied, we have a straightforward return policy in place to facilitate the process. Please take a moment to review our Return and Refund Policy:

Eligibility for Return
You have a 7-day return window from the date of receiving your order to initiate a return. The cooling off period, during which you may exercise your right to cancel and return the product, ends 7 days after the day on which you or a person designated by you, other than the delivery carrier, takes physical possession of the ordered product. In the case of several products ordered in the same order but delivered separately, the 7-day period starts from the day on which you physically take possession of the last item delivered.

To qualify for a refund, the returned goods must be unworn and in perfect condition, with all accessories and original packaging intact. Products must be returned clean, unworn, and with their security tag still on. We will not be able to refund any goods that do not meet these criteria.

Non-Returnable Items
Unfortunately, sale items are non-returnable and cannot be refunded. Customized items, including prescription and non-prescription lenses, are generally not eligible for a refund unless they are defective or do not match the prescription provided. In the event of a defect or a prescription mismatch, please contact our customer service immediately for assistance.

Return Process
Please read carefully.

Return Timeframe
Goods must be shipped back to us within 7 days of receiving your item. Please ensure that you promptly return the item to avoid any delays in processing your refund.

Refund Method
The responsibility of the item to be returned is yours until it reaches us. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will initiate the refund process. The cost of the glasses will be refunded to you, minus the return management fee. Please note that shipping costs and any incurred taxes are non-refundable. You will receive your refund through the original payment method.

Refund Timeline
Once we confirm the glasses are in perfect condition, we will process your refund. The refund will be issued within 5-7 business days. The refund processing time may vary depending on your payment provider's policies.

Exchange Policy
We do not accept exchanges. If you wish to buy another item, you must follow our return procedure first and then place a new order for the item you wish to purchase. Our staff will treat both orders separately.

Faulty Items / Incorrect Items
All items are quality controlled before being shipped. In the unlikely event that you receive an incorrect or faulty item, please contact us and write the reason for your return, provide photographs if necessary, and we will assist you in resolving the issue immediately.
